How to Grow your website fast: Sell Timber Online

Sell Timber Online

This post is great for a merchant’s selling timber through their website. However…

The strategy works for any business that can share their expert knowledge with potential customers.

And following these strategies could grow your business 5 fold in a matter of months.

So here’s what I’m giving you.

It’s a clear, simple strategy to selling everything a customer needs for their big building project.

From acquiring the customer to making that all important sale.

How to format the post so it shoots to the top of Google

How to promote your post so it ACTUALLY gets read by your target market

First, here’s my experience of BUYING timber online

I enjoy building so decided to build my own decking.

When it was my first ever, I didn’t have a clue.

So what did I do?

I typed in Google “How to build a decking”

I clicked on a post that directed me to a large company’s website. It gave the exact formula to building my own decking.

That’s not all.

In that the post were a number of links to the products I needed – including tools.

It was sooo easy to just add these products to my basket.

And if it weren’t for what some might call ‘astute entrepreneurship’, I wouldn’t have gone out of my way to find a cheaper price for some products.

In fact I did find cheaper prices at Howarth-timber and CWBerry but the bulk of my items were still bought from the company that gave me the info.

Before I knew it, I’d spent £750 with them

And my guess is that most people buy everything from the same place for convenience.

Now £750 doesn’t sound much but what if if 20 normal DIYers did this on your Timber merchants website every day.

Here’s the final pic…

An increased sales turnover of £273,750 per year!

Sounds good to me!

So here’s how to sell timber online

1.    Think of a selling question to answer for your customers

Or many different questions that your target market are asking themselves

For example…

“How to build a decking outside”

“How to make built in wardrobes”

Don’t forget to do your research to find out which questions are asked in Google the most and which have less copetitors fighting for customers.

2.    Write down everything they need to know

Do this in about 750-1000 words.

What about the formatting?

The title of the post must be the key question you KNOW people are typing in Google

Create at least 4 to 5 sub headings (with a <h2> tag) that contain the words from key question your customer is asking.

Write more than 75-100 words under each sub heading

Make sure your post is BETTER than any other post on the internet.

Include images of the tasks at hand.

3.    Include product links as part of the article

Doing this will immediately show the customer that YOU sell what THEY need.

That’s just simple business.

Here’s what you need to do.

Every time you mention a certain piece of material

4.    Provide a list of everything they need to buy

This is where your selling conversion rates will skyrocket.

So give the potential customer a list of everything they need to buy to complete their project.

Include direct links to the timber product pages on your website.

5.    Give them MORE than they need to buy

Do this if you want to massively increase your average sale per customer

So you’ve provied a list of the materials they need.

What about the tools? Like gloves, goggles, circular saw etc.

By promoting these products you will automatically get customers thinking they need them.

So include links to these products on your site too.

Another great way to iincrease average sale is to always advise a little over in terms quantities.

That way, the customers will make sure they buy the right amount irst time. But best of all, they will buy it all from YOU.

6.    Publish the post on your website

No one will EVER read your advice if you don’t do this

Add your new handy work to your website as soon as possible.

Hint:If you’re creating a really long post then you can publish the first section while you write the second.

That way your article will start gaining traction in the online arena.
